Painting done on 7 December 2019. I used the “wet-on-wet: technique propagated by Bill Alexander and Bob Ross at the end of the previous millennium. The painting was done without any reference to any specific place … and purely completed from the heart.

African Wildlife absolutely fascinates me – and the enormous challenge to capture that momentary glint in the eye of an African Juvenile Monkey resulted in this work.
In a world of mortar & plastic & tin … it is awesome to capture something alive & feathery in oils and have it hanging on your wall.
