African Wildlife absolutely fascinates me – and the enormous challenge to capture that momentary glint in the eye of an African Juvenile Monkey resulted in this work.
In a world of mortar & plastic & tin … it is awesome to capture something alive & feathery in oils and have it hanging on your wall.
This in a way is part of my tribute to nature & animal life…
The Rock Formation known as “The Finger of God” or Mukurob (in the local vernacular), near Asab in Namibia, was a sandstone rock formation in the Namib Desert which collapsed on 4 December 1988.
Only debris is left from this rock pinnacle that once dominated the surrounding desert landscape.
