“The paintings in this series were completed during a visit to family in the scenic Southern Cape of South Africa. My dad (www.artist-barryodendaal.co.za) and I took on the project, and each completed three paintings during my visit. After each version was completed, we would take notes on what improvements or changes we would make in the next.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“As with previous studies where multiple versions of the same topic were completed, I enjoyed the learning process and was quite satisfied with the variations of the final products.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“There was no real planning done to set the scene. As usual, I improvised these scenes from a general concept I had in my head. Each bush and every mountain top came straight from the artist’s imagination, and now have their place on a canvas.”<\/em> (said Wesley) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
