Revisiting a painting I did in 1990 – which I wanted to bin but my mom saved it – I decided to go there again and do justice to this scene…
Painting done on 29 September 2023.
Once again I used the “wet-on-wet: technique. This third painting in our short series of three, was again done with my son Wesley (www.artist-wesleyodendaal.co.za) doing his own 3rd version as we still shared studio space during a very special visit of this amazing guy – I call “my son”. This time Wesley worked with his no. 1 & 2 in mind … and I revisited a work done in 1990 (as per the short intro above).
We enjoyed doing this one – but again working from the heart on a marvelous day in the Southern Cape of South Africa..
Once again I used the “wet-on-wet”. The painting was done with my son Wesley (www.artist-wesleyodendaal.co.za) doing his own version as we shared studio space during a very special visit of this amazing guy – I call “my son”. We attempted a bit of a practice session with Bob … and completed from the heart.
Tranquil lake with snowy mountain peaks in the distance…
Painting done on 19 January 2020.
Once again I used the “wet-on-wet: technique propagated by Bill Alexander and Bob Ross at the end of the previous millennium. The painting was done without any reference to any specific place … and purely completed from the heart.
